Active Aging in Manitoba (AAIM)

Formerly ALCOA-MB, Active Aging in Manitoba is a partnership of organization and individuals who encourage older Manitobans to maintain and enhance their well-being through a lifestyle that embraces daily physical activities. AAIM coordinates and supports the following projects:

  • Active Living Gear Kit (Available for loan);
  • Healthy Lifestyles Bing (Available for loan or purchase);
  • Peer-led Fitness Programs (Steppin’ Up & Out);
  • Peer-led Speakers Bureau on a variety of topics.

A & O: Support Services for Older Adults

A & O operates two senior centres in Winnipeg, which provide a variety of health-related, educational, and recreational programs. A & O offers three pillars of service covering Safety & Security, Social Engagement and Counselling services. Other services include resources for caregivers, legal assistance, Seniors Centre Without Walls and Elder Abuse Prevention Services.

Creative Retirement Manitoba (CRM)

Creative Retirement Manitoba contributes to the well-being of older persons and their communities by developing and offering innovative and interactive learning opportunities with and for older persons. Programs include:
